Seeing the Wood for the Trees

Neil Roberts is a Central Queensland Wood-lover, Husband, Father and Fisherman. He was a much-sought-after water driller until, in 1998, he had to discontinue his work for health reasons. He was gifted a cheap Taiwanese lathe and quickly discovered he had an aptitude, receiving first prize at the Rocky Show the first time he entered. A modest humble man, Neil says he “found woodwork to be a welcome distraction from the pain.”
Neil resonates with Blossom’s love for trees and her sense of urgency for us all to appreciate their profound worth.

“I try to work with the natural beauty of the wood,
it’s organic flow. The wood does it.”
