The Tree Tribe is a group of people in rural Queensland who want to promote the value of the trees on properties. There is a crazy division on the vegetation management of rural Queensland and the poor Trees have become victims of a political football. People are clearing land beyond its sustainable limits, when landholders could be developing their land more strategically. You CAN grow grass and trees. Look under the Sally Wattles, the grass is richer, greener, taller, healthier. The whole ecosystem around a Sally Wattle is vibrant. The Sally Wattle, I believe, is our greatest salvation.

The summers without shade are baking. everything is baking, the soil, the grass, the cattle, the air.  There is no shade and NO moisture. Trees are 50% water, they hold and recycle that moisture through the landscape. Those deep rooted plants, those wonderful Trees that keep all the cycles happening, the soil, the rainfall, the cool temperatures, habitats and oxygen/carbon marriage. Trees are the most vital part of the ecosystem.

This art installation, of which this website is a small thread, was created for Beefweek 2021 in Rockhampton. I felt compelled to shine a bright light on all the amazing things about Trees. This installation was a spark that got so many working friends together. It has been wonderful, it became contagious!! I can't thank you all enough, it is beautiful.

In 2022, we are taking our exhibition "The Wisdom of Trees" out west. Our first exhibition is in Mitchell from 8th of January to 19th of February.

The Tree Tribe has some useful connections in the world of Trees and if you keep browsing down you might find someone you could use. Make money out of your Trees with an Offset (Ausecology) or see the latest technology that measures the carbon in a forest. You can get trees from us, or Livingstone Council Nursery at the Yeppoon Transfer Station. Or learn how to set up a Food Forest and become completely self sufficient with Nicola.
I hope you've discover the importance and need of Trees with me, thanks for getting this far,
